This week has certainly been a load of fun for fans of the horde shooter genre with Aliens: Fireteam Elite both dropping on Xbox Game Pass (Xbox & PC) on December 14th, 2021 and receiving a load of new content as part of its free Season 2 content update.

As part of this brand-new update, players can expect to see a lot of highly sought-after improvements to the base title such as a new Lifetime Stats feature whilst also being able to expect a brand-new game mode and 4 new weapons. Alongside this, the new update will also introduce a plethora of new weapon attachments, colourways, decals, head accessories, emotes and challenge cards.

Point Defense Game Mode
Fans of the base game’s horde mode might take interest in the updates brand-new mode, Point Defense. Tasked with holding out in a survival-based mode, players will have to defend and repair 3 various strategic points from waves of xenomorphs. Through playing and completing this mode you’ll be able to unlock the various attachments, emotes and decals the new season has to offer.

New Weapons & Lifetime Stats Feature
Along with new ways to engage the Xenomorphs you’re going to need new ways to kill them. Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s Season 2 update brings with it four new weapons to help you fend off against the horde. All of the weapons can be seen below and for full breakdowns of each weapon you can check each of them out over on the team’s update blog. Of course, if you’re taking down Xenos you’re going to want a way to keep track. The new Lifetime Stats feature allows players to review different class kits and difficulties stats. This new inclusion should also already contain your stats from the start of Season 1 onwards.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is currently available on Steam, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass (Xbox & PC). The game is also currently available to play via cross-play but only between Xbox and PC players who purchase the game via the Microsoft Store.
