Following the success of Daymare: 1998, developers Invader Studios and publishers Leonardo Interactive have announced that their planned prequel Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle will be available as a demo between February 21st, 2022, and February 28th, 2022. With the title being a prequel to Daymare: 1998, Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle sees you step into the shoes of former government spy turned H.A.D.E.S (Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search) agent, Dalila Reyes as she makes her way through the ominous depths of the most advanced experimental research centre in the United States of America.

For those who have played the previous Daymare: 1998 title, Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle promises even more survival horror with a story-rich campaign and brand-new weapons including what the developers describe as “one of the most innovative and original weapons ever”, the Frost Grip.

Along with these new improvements Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle also promises to develop the past of fan favourite characters from the previous title in the series. The interface has also been entirely revamped with you now being able to manage your ammo, health and inventory items all from the new D.I.D interface. The inclusion of Reyes’ scanner will also allow players to reveal new puzzles and discover various collectables. With a wide range of difficulty options from Veteran to Rookie and the power of Unreal Engine 4 Daymare 1994: Sandcastle will be hoping to enthral its player base with bucketloads of survival horror fun. For those of you on console who are eager to try out the title it will be launching on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch later on this year but there is no definitive date yet.
